All Pro Series side bolt kits feature 8740 chrome moly steel 12 point bolts that are heat treated prior to thread rolling and machining, and are nominally rated at 200,000 psi. Special purpose washers are included where necessary. Optimum design, enhanced reliability and increased strength are the main attributes of ARPs Pro Series main cap side bolt kits.
Factory side bolts are torque to yield design and must be replaced when rebuilding as they are not reusable. These high quality ARP side bolts are designed to be used over and over again, plus will offer the best clamping forces for high performance engines. Sold in complete sets for one engine.
